International Student Exhibit Design Scholarship Competition Launches 2005 Design Brief

The EDPA Foundation launched its 2005 design competition brief online at www.launchyourcareerinexhibitdesign.com. Written by Design Director, Tim Kelley of BlueSky Exhibits, the brief challenges students to provide a response to an RFP for a traveling exhibit for H-2 Technologies, Inc. H-2 Technologies, Inc., the world’s top developer of hydrogen hybrid engines, seeks a design and fabrication partner for a new 80’ x 80’ island booth for the 2006 Big Engine Show in Chicago, Illinois. The primary purpose of this new exhibit will be to promote an existing line of hybrid engines, launch a brand new pure hydrogen engine and two new fuel cells, and promote assorted related products. H-2 Technologies Inc.’s fundamental goal in the RFP process is to determine which organization’s design concepts best meet both the functional and aesthetic requirements set forth in this document.

The competition is looking for current designers within the industry to get their alma mater’s students involved. Each year the competition is well represented by a spectrum of universities throughout the world, but would like to expand its reach.
